Registration For New Students To Our Program
Registration for our Religious Education Program commences in the late Spring and must be completed by August 14 for the new school year. In order to register for our Program, the student’s family must be registered members of the Church of St. Pius X. (The new parishioner registration form must be completed and mailed/delivered to the Church of St. Pius X, 91 Secor Rd., Scarsdale, NY 10583.)
Each new student must have a completed Church of St. Pius X Religious Education Program Registration Form and Baptismal Certificate on file with the Religious Education Office. In addition, each new student who is transferring from another program must provide a record of prior Religious Education Studies and, if he/she has made his/her First Communion, a First Communion Certificate to the Church of St. Pius X Religious Education Office. The Church of St. Pius X Religious Education Registration Form may be printed, completed and mailed or delivered along with any applicable record/certificate and fees to the Church of St. Pius X Religious Education Office, 85 Palmer Ave., Scarsdale, NY 10583. Alternatively, the Registration Form may be submitted online along with the applicable fees (plus a small processing fee via WeShare). If you submit the Registration Form online you will have the option to submit any applicable record/certificate online or mail/deliver them to the Religious Education Office.
Re-registration for families presently in our program
In order to re-register for another school year, each student must complete the Church of St. Pius X Registration Form. The Registration Form may be printed, completed and mailed or delivered along with the applicable fees to the Church of St. Pius X Religious Education Office, 85 Palmer Ave., Scarsdale, NY 10583. Alternatively, the Registration Form may be submitted online along with the applicable fees (plus a small processing fee via WeShare).
Deadline to Register
All properly completed registration forms along with applicable fees must be received by the 14th of August prior to the beginning of the upcoming academic year. All forms and/or payments received after August 14th will incur a $75 late fee.
Student Information/Medical Emergency Information
The Archdiocese of New York requires each student’s medical emergency information to be on file at the school in case of an emergency. If any of the information on the Registration Form changes, please contact the office immediately with the new information.
Student Transfer/Early Withdrawal:
If a student leaves our Program before completion of the school year, or at the end of the school year, please advise the Religious Education Office of the student’s new parish so we can send his/her records to that parish.
Class Placement
The placement of a student in a class is determined after consultation with his/her parents but the final decision will be made by the Religious Education Program staff.
Archdiocese of New York Guidelines
The Archdiocese of New York provides:
- Parish religious education programs are preparation for life. Students are expected to attend religious education classes continuously from grades 1 through 8.
- Any student who drops out of our program after receiving First Communion will be required to complete the grade level(s) missed, unless he/she participated successfully in another program.
