Confirmation Celebration
Confirmation candidates and their friends gather in the parish hall to celebrate being confirmed in May.
Family Learning Program
Each month throughout the year, one of the 10:30 am Family Masses is designated as a Ministry Mass for a specified grade in our Religious Education program and the Mass is followed by a Family Learning Program Workshop. The students in the specified grade are responsible for the Readings, Intercessory Prayers and presenting the Gifts at the Mass. Parents of the students are expected to attend the Mass and the Workshop. Extended family, such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc., also are invited. These programs are intended to foster faith sharing between generations of believers and reinforce a Catholic heritage and identity.
All classes are invited to attend even if it is not their turn. The schedule of 10:30 am Masses and Family Learning Enrichment Programs is posted on the religious education website at spxreled@spxny.org.
First Communion Reception
First Communicants and their families and friends gather in the parish hall for a special reception to honor our 2nd grade students who have received First Communion. First Communion usually takes place on the first Saturday in May. The First Communion reception is the next day, Sunday, after the 10:30 am Family Mass in the parish hall.
