Speaker Series
In 2023, the parish kicked off a new speaker series, Let’s Talk About It: Speaker Series, in response to The Synod on Synodality survey. Our goal is to have two speakers discuss current topics each year. In 2023, parishioners gathered to discuss Michael O’Loughlin’s book, Hidden Mercy: AIDS, Catholics and the Untold Stories of Compassion in the Face of Fear, prior to a live presentation by the author. In addition, Rita Ferrone, writer and frequent speaker on issues of liturgy and church renewal in the Roman Catholic, spoke about “Living the Legacy of Vatican II in Today’s Parishes: Prospects and Challenges” with moderator Raymond LaManna.
