Lenten Food Drive

Each Lent, our Parish provides bags with a list of the most needed foods (e.g., canned tuna or meat, 1 lb. boxes of rice, small sacks of flour, boxed mashed potatoes, powdered milk, canned fruit or vegetables, hot and cold cereals, dried fruit, dried or canned beans, soups, pasta, Jello or pudding mixes, coffee/tea, drink mixes, canned sauces or other non-perishable foods in unbreakable unopened containers) for the food pantry benefiting St. Peter’s Church in Yonkers.

Volunteers help coordinate with St. Peter’s food pantry, assist with publicity, purchase food items to fill the paper bags and place the bags in the Donation Closet in the Narthex for pick up by St. Peter’s Church. If you prefer, you can donate to the food pantry by mailing a check payable to “St. Peter’s Food Pantry” to the Rectory.

If you are interested in helping with the Lenten Food Drive, please contact Dolores Brett at 914-723-5303 (or dbrett9@gmail.com).
