As a celebration of the Mass

Saturday June 6, during the 5pm Mass
St. Pius X Festival Choir and Orchestra
Schubert’s Mass in G, though typically performed across the world today in concert halls, was originally composed for the church as a Latin Mass. It remains one of Schubert’s best loved and most often performed works. Rather than our usual Mass parts for the Kyrie, Glory to God, Creed, Holy, and Lamb of God, we will offer Schubert’s setting for choir, soloists and orchestra of these sacred texts in the context for which is was intended – as the celebration of the Mass.

Welcome to Our Church
